The Bridge

18Dec10

It’s clearly against some kind of law to go to San Francisco and not see the Golden Gate Bridge.  I started at Crissy Field and walked towards the bridge… taking about a billion photos on the way.  The weather was not fantastic (stupid fog once again) but once I actually made it onto the bridge it’d cleared a bit so I got some great views, even if I couldn’t see the city at all.

View from Crissy Field.

Is indeed one of "America's best ideas"!

Directly underneath the bridge is Fort Point, a military base built between 1853 and 1861. The views of the bridge are incredible, but even without those the fort itself is fascinating.
